Major League Fishing

Sunday February 15, 2015

Clearly an event worth watching if you are a fan of getting all the major known champions together on a different kind of competition.  The main focus of this completion is to get as many keepers as possible in a day of fishing.  The pounds keep adding up as the day goes by and at the end of the day the one with the most weight wins.
Sounds simple right?  As all texters say LMAO! Yeah, right.  :(   There is a huge catch, no pun intended.  As these bass angler champions compete for hours, they are closely being monitored by judges or referees if you must, on the boat with the competitors.  PLUS the kicker is, the official carries along an electronic pad that has a minute by minute status update of what the other competitor is up to.  STRESS is not the word.  If you really want to see these guys cringe and keep their hats under control, you need to see them in this competition.  You can actually feel the tension cut through your TV or device you're watching on.  I've had to look away a few times myself as I see a lead slowly being slipped out of a competitor's hands.  It's on, in this event.
What I really like about this event is that it brings back the kid in each competitor, the frustration and sometimes you even hear a little gloating!  There is a certain satisfaction felt from certain of the anglers when the other is going through a rough spot, you know you know who you are...um...ok we'll leave that one alone.  It just adds to the flavor of things, but in any case it's still just fishing.  Yeah, right!  Bring it on!
