Ike at the hospital after surgery this past 4/13/2015.  He went through the competition with this injury...something to note about these competitors on the water.  He remained in 1st place for 3 days out of the 4 at Guntersville...a true competitor...and didn't say much of it, an example to all.

A Little REF Humor

This is just a little illustration of the humor that is always found in slapstick, especially if t's on the straight man of the act; this case the ref.  Unfortunately we always seem to brought back to reality when the ref has something to say or call the shots, so a little humor thrown his way is usually ok, I hope. 
     The refs are very nice people that are doing their jobs well, they are the keepers of the whole event, and keep it they do.  They have to be stern and have not one ounce of favoritism and play the calls like it is.  We need them there.
     This competition, MLF always has that extra stress factor when it comes to the refs.  Pushing the angler by letting them know exactly where they stand as the day progresses.  The competition would certainly not be the competition it is if not for this structure that was designed for this competition. Keep it going MLF.

Major League Fishing Summit Cup 2015 is here!

Folks at home, folks at home.  That stressful competition is back, the tempers fly and the stress begins to wear down the anglers as each second counts to catch as many bass as you can and not get any violations in the meantime.  Yes, let's get it on, that's the attitude that needs to be taken at this level of competition.  It's quite a difference coming off the Bassmasters Classic, which is also stressful; anglers were exhausted.  Jack Link's Major League Fishing also has it's high expectancy as well, and we're ready !

     Not an attempt in any way to make fun of the angler at all, it's just that he is the most popular angler on the market.  The future of angling in another planet.  Where angling will still remain one of the most marketable businesses in the world no matter what happens.  Unless we run out of fish, the sport will keep growing.
