This bass angling competition was started by Irwin l Jacobs, he bought a Gilbertson, KY. bass tournament local competition and then signed major corporations as sponsors, making it into a world lucrative tournament circuit; FLW TOUR.
Named after Forrest L. Wood founder of Ranger Boats, this organized competition was designed for all participants to get a payout. It has all the big names in it and it's also a great starting point for those aspiring to become the next IKE, G Man or Ish. The tournaments don't leave anything out, it's full of the anglers giving it the best they got. This is a very important tournament for sure.
